The song deals with the truth that all people, theists and atheists, must face, which is that we can never know the base cause. Theists can't know who created God, and atheists (at least the ones who accept the findings of Physics) can't know what caused the Big Bang. The best both camps can do is propose unmoved movers and cyclic cosmologies, which may be true but which aren't emotionally satisfying to beings like us who naturally think in terms of causation.
