She continued to draw and as these things happen, with practice, she got better. School didn’t demand much of her talents, but when she was on breaks from school, she liked to break out the watercolors, or her colored pencils. This happened frequently enough that her grandparents bought her an easel and would buy her art paper. Art became a minor hobby that she would pursue when she had time.
