Sometimes you just gotta say Cluck it and walk away shirt. Just spent the last 3 hrs of my shift and sanity negotiating with docs and foreign embassies to get a family over for a critical pt and no one would ever know the lengths we go to. As a nurse myself, I will never cease to be amazed with my fellow nurses who, for what ever reasons they have or had, chose this career of nursing. Any little improvement was celebrated with us through the staff. The education and empathy the entire staff showed us goes beyond any words of gratitude.
