A local news paper ran the hearsay story, and it was picked up and ran by a national newspaper. Quite soon the paper was inundated with letters from people saying they had experienced that picture 'looking' at them, that they thought the story true and the picture could be 'evil' etc etc anyways it got a big response because as I said, lots of people had that picture hanging in their houses.
