It is obvious the I like people under general anesthesia shirt. She probably just went out to get food and came back and found her babies gone! This does not show how long they watched the cave before deciding the puppies needed rescuing. Well meaning people can sometimes do the cruelest things. The mother was probably out looking for food. She had to eat to nurse those puppies. Hope they find the mother and homes for all those sweet pups.
