I like Guitars Sunflower Knock on the door to my soul and you will find an ageless hippie with a rock and roll heart and a never ending hope for peace shirt. I also wanted to love this film but liked it. I don’t think it is narratively challenging as it seems in as much as it leans heavily into a (forced) ambiguity leaving the viewer to piece things together – or not even that but leaving it all a big mystery. The novel is a bit more explicit of course. With that said I would always watch Mr. Wright and agree with Nick to cast James Badge Dale in everything.
