I would think so, as well as crossbows. I wouldn’t wait to give those ugly creatures a chance to breach MY personal space. So, I liked the idea of the catapults, but, thought even more types of distant weapons would have been effective as well. Slings would be easier to reload than crossbows, but the warriors would need to be skilled in using them.
