If your child was NOT ‘a planned child,’ don’t tell them that! It could make them feel unloved, unwanted, rejected, confused, and worthless. The knowledge that they were an “accident” can affect them for a long time, perhaps making him or her feel like his or her whole life is just as accidental as a coin landing on heads and not tails.
