My main motivation to move back to India was to be close to aging parents. I knew this is something I'd have to do at some point. I'd kept postponing the decision - till my dad had a little health scare and I had to fly to India overnight. That event made me realize that I needed to take a call soon. I worked things out with my company to be able to work remotely.
